ADHA/WSDHA/Local Components Working Together
ADHA, WSDHA and local component societies form a three part organization, closely linked and working together to maintain and improve the profession of dental hygiene at the local, state and national levels. All Membership dues are paid through ADHA (including for WSDHA and Components), and a member you are part of the total organization. Annually, officers are elected by the House of Delegates which is made up of elected representatives from each local component. Each component elects a Trustee to represent them on the Executive Board which meets five times per year to conduct the business of the Association. Each year, the House of Delegates selects the ADHA delegation members who will represent our state at the National ADHA Annual Meeting. Delegates from across the country guide the national association by establishing the mission, goals, policies and objectives of the Association.
Active members insure that individual and local concerns, ideas, visions can be well represented to all levels of the association. Participation by members gives life to the association and assures that the future is chosen and created by the membership.
